Basic Red Sauce

A couple months ago Shaw's was basically paying me in groceries to take Del Monte Canned tomatoes out of their stores.  I think I ended up with something like 100 cans.  So I thought I'd share my favorite red sauce recipe with you.

Emeril's Basic Red Sauce

Mmmm....onions and garlic and extra virgin olive oil

I do like to add one chopped carrot and a little pinot noir.  Also if your kids don't like chunky sauce on their spaghetti, put the sauce through the blender after its cooled.

And we have sauce, ready for the freezer and way better than store bought!
