Lemon Pepper Salmon

Salmon fillets are on sale for $4.99/lb at Shaw's today only...here's a delicious salmon recipe to enjoy at this great price!

Ingredients

• 4 (8.0 ounce) salmon steaks
• 4 (tablespoon) butter or margarine, melted
• 4 (tablespoon) lemon juice
• 2 (whole) green onion, sliced
• 1 (tablespoon) dried parsley
• 1/2 (teaspoon) garlic salt
• 1 (teaspoon) lemon-pepper seasoning

Directions

1. Place salmon in a lightly greased 8-in. square baking dish. Top with butter and lemon juice. Combine onion, parsley, garlic salt and lemon pepper; sprinkle over salmon. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Our Pigs Will Be Very Happy!

My special order came in today....I got a total of 94 boxes of Ronzoni Quick Cook pasta.

And 156 bags of Wacky Mac pasta.  The Ronzoni Quick Cook pasta is for our five little pigs, and the Wacky Mac pasta will be for our pasta salads for the next two years!  Haha, this is actually kindof funny, I have never bought this much before at one time, let alone do a special order!  I had my neice there to help me out, Thanks Molly!

So....Total Retail Cost: $450
Total cost after coupons/sales: $42!
 
I calculated $42/156 (Wacky Mac)  equals out to .28 a bag!  And wait, I have more coupons coming in the mail tomorrow.  Let's see if I have the energy to go get more pasta!

More Free Pasta....Guess who it will be feeding???

I used the overage from the "quick cook" pasta and a $2/$25 coupon

 to get a free gallon of milk as well!

Good deal on Diapers and Paper Towels!!

In case any wanted to see what I bought today...

First I went to Shaw's and used up the rest of my high value $.85/1 Viva paper towels which doubled to $1.70.  The cashier was nice enough to let me do three transactions so I could use them all up today and not have to go back before Sunday.  I wished they had been on sale, but .29/roll isn't a bad price.


After Shaw's I headed to Rite Aid to do a much more complicated purchase. 

This was split into two identical transactions and looked something like this....

(1) Pediacare Cough and Cold medicine $4.99
(4) Cadbury eggs $2

-$3/15 survey coupon
- $3 Huggies

Total $12.97  Paid with $10 up reward, and recieved 2 $1 up rewards from Huggies and $3 up reward from Pediacare.  There is also a $1 SCR I will submit for.  Now repeat the same transaction again...

Grand total for both transactions.....  FREE

And check the bottoms of your reciepts, I got two more $3/15 purchase survey coupons!!  I feel like one is printing with everyone of my transactions!

Shaw's 4/22-4/28

Thanks to Frugal On The Cheap, here are the deals to be had at Shaw's starting on Friday.  I think I may sit this week out.

Quick Shaw's Trip

This was a nice and easy trip to Shaw's, minus the part about my two year old trying to get into the meat department!  For some reason he likes to run away in the grocery store, especially while I am trying to check out! 
 I split this up into two transactions, so I could use two of the $2/25 Shaw's purchase coupons, and the total for both was... $33! 

 Yes, that is three lbs of Perdue chicken breast, and two lbs of hamburg!  I think we will have marinated chicken on the grill tonight. 

 The marinades were only $.69 after coupons, the McCormick seasoning packets and tuna ended up free, and the Viva paper towels were $.29 a roll.  I was waiting for them to go on sale, but they haven't, and I have a lot of the $.85/1 coupons for those which are expiring Sunday.

Super Cheap Tuna at Shaw's

Starkist tuna pouches are on sale for $1.19 starting today, and if you "like" them on facebook you can print a $.50/1 coupon.  Press the back button three times to print two!!  After the coupon doubles they will only be $.19 each! Here's the link to the Starkist Facebook page.
